Our Story
We are Ris and Eric, founders of Autentico Paint. Although we are proud to be Dutch and still call The Netherlands our home, our creative life started in England where we made bespoke furniture together using only traditional woodworking techniques. Our work can still be found in many interior and lifestyle magazines and in showrooms of popular fashion brands. Nevertheless, we decided to give our lives a new direction. Attracted by quality, colour and style we began to experiment with the development of our own paint. During our woodworking practice, we were already creating special paint techniques on our furniture but also on our own walls and ceilings, we quickly found there was a need for a new paint concept. Together with very experienced and creative paint makers, we started our Autentico journey. After more than a year of experimenting we launched our first furniture paint, Autentico Vintage Furniture Paint, the aim was to combine technology with tradition and creativity with professionalism. This was the start of our journey to where you find us. Based on our success in England, Autentico’s quality was soon discovered by paint specialists overseas and we established a European distribution center in Middelburg, The Netherlands, from where we supply our country distributors in all main pan-European countries.
